What type of event are your marquees hired for?

So many different celebrations! They are ideally suited for birthday and anniversary celebrations,  Weddings,  Summer Balls, Bar Mitzvahs, Christenings and naming days,  garden parties, corporate events, fetes, speech days, BBQ's and luncheon parties.

How do I work out the size of the marquee I need?

Choosing the right size marquee is fundamental and we will help ensure you have the right size marquee for your event. Please see our Marquee page for a guide.

How many guests can I seat around a table?

8-10 around a 5FT table
6-8 around a 4FT table
6 on a 6FT trestle table (plus an extra one on either end)

Do I pay extra for side walls?

No, they are included in the price and are attached by ourselves during set up.

Can I attach them myself?

Yes, the side walls fit nicely into the arches in the marquee. There is a cord that runs along inside of the arches and the side walls clip on to the cord.  This should take no longer than a couple of minutes for each side wall.

Will I need carpeting?

It depends on the type of event you are having. Most event organisers ask for carpeting as it adds a professional finish.  For weddings and summer balls or if the ladies are wearing stiletto heels then we strongly recommend carpets.

Can the marquees be set up on hard surfaces?

No, our Capri marquees can only be erected on grass not concrete.

When should I cut the grass?

We request that you cut the grass a couple of days prior to the event to allow it to dry out.  Our aim is to erect the marquee on as dry a surface as possible to limit damage to the lawn. Also don’t worry grass is resilient it will recover quickly after the event.

When do you erect the marquees?

In general, we tend to erect the marquee 2-3 days before the event and collect it 2 days after the event. We will endeavour to be as flexible as we can and work around the customer.

Am I likely to need heating?

That always depends on our very unpredictable weather. Even on the warmest day it can get chilly at night. We can provide heating, please ask for a quote

Can I decorate the marquees?

We offer a selection of artificial foliage with lights that looks very effective around the arches. You are also free to decorate the marquees, but under no circumstances can anything be stuck to, or any sort of marker used on the marquee fabric.

What do we need to provide, for us to have lighting?

All we require is access to your household electrical circuit and we will supply the circuit breaker.
